Here in Victoria Australia, we are so lucky to have nude beaches that are always near empty. Doing a boudoir session at a nude beach with no one around can take away all the fears of being nude in public and create a liberating space to embrace your carefree spirit.

So what is this experience like?

Our team at Apricot Aura is so blessed that “C” wanted to share her experience to inspire others who might be looking to try something similar. We asked her a few questions and this is her response!

What motivated you to do a boudoir session?

“I had always wanted to do a boudoir session and to finally see myself through a different lens and embrace the new part of my life” -C

Were you nervous or excited before the shoot?

“I was nervous the day before the shoot because it was a new setting. It was also my first time doing a boudoir shoot and my first time going to a nude beach.
But the day of the shoot I was so excited and really keen to do a bunch of poses and gal in love with everything around myself and fall in love with me again :)” -C

How did you feel working with Sabrina / Jake / Both of us?

“I got to work with both Sabrina and Jake and it was honestly amazing to have both of them together.
They had such an electric energy and were able to bounce off each other with such amazing ideas and were such fun to work with.
They both kept the energy fun and loving and were really engaging and fun to shoot with.
You could really tell that they both really love their work and love being able to give people a chance to see themselves how others see them.
There was absolutely zero judgment throughout it all and I honestly felt so at peace doing my shoot.
Both Jake and Sabrina are easily some of the best people I’ve met and I cannot recommend them higher than what I have.
They are truly wonderful and absolutely genius’s” -C

What did you love most about the session?

“I honestly loved how easy going they were with the whole shoot. It was the least stressful day I’ve had for a very long time and I had so much fun.
I really loved being able to connect back to the ocean while feeling incredibly confident and fully in my element. It truly allowed for me to have some of the best photos I’ve ever had taken of me before in my lifetime.
I really loved and appreciated that they encouraged me to try different poses, and if I had a suggestion of a pose, than they absolutely gave it a shot and got some really cool photos.
I also really loved the vibes of getting ready and getting my makeup done. It was so much fun and cannot recommend enough” -C

Was there anything you didn’t like about the session?

“The only thing I didn’t like about the shoot was that it had to finish lol
It honestly went for a little while but I had so much fun and will definitely be booking again” -C

How did you feel immediately after the shoot ended?

“Immediately after the shoot I felt content and felt at peace with myself.
I had zero regrets and felt really happy in life

I also got hungry and demolished a triple cheeseburger which tasted so good after feeling like a bad b!txh at the beach” -C

Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.

“I honestly love my photos so much!
When I first saw them I was honestly gobsmacked. I couldn’t believe that the person on the screen in front of me was myself. It was a very surreal realization that I could look as gorgeous and stunning as the photos came out to look.
They are honestly worth every bit of money I paid for them and I have absolutely zero regrets” -C

Did you find the whole experience worth it in the end? Why or why not?

“Absolutely worth it !!!
I get to stare at gorgeous photos of myself whenever I’m feeling down as a reminder that I am that b!txh, and I am as gorgeous and powerful as I sometimes pretend to be !!” -C

If someone was on the fence of getting a boudoir shoot done, what would you say to them? Would you recommend it?

“Do it !!!
It is one of the most thrilling and rewarding experiences I’ve ever had the pleasure of doing and I am so grateful to have these photos and have had this shoot done.
It is easily one of the coolest things I’ve ever done and I’ll definitely be doing quite a few more with many different styles.
If you’re feeling a little unsure of scared maybe have a friend do one of their own so that way both of you get to experience an amazing boudoir shoot and get to share your photos together.
I would really recommend filling out the forms honestly and if you have concerns or questions they will get answered so honestly and openly.
Both Sabrina and Jake are some of the kindest souls I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in my life and they will answers your questions and make you feel so at home and so peaceful.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

“Both Sabrina and Jake, you guys are amazing and I truly do appreciate what you’ve done for me.
It might not be much but it’s definitely allowed me to exit a really horrible part in my life with a greater outlook and some killer photos to look at and re-imagine how my life has been.

If you are looking to do a boudoir session at a beach it can be risky to have any nudity in areas it is not allowed. I recommend searching for nude beaches near you using sites like this one! It can feel so freeing for girls to have this experience and I highly suggest giving it a go! Posing and weather conditions can become more unpredictable so I suggest pre-planning poses and setting two dates in case the weather is bad.
